New Appleonia album, “Despite the Gods” is out online today. This soundtrack record features songs like “She is the Sun ft Craig Nicholls” and other songs and soundscapes composed for Penny Vozniak’s documentary of the same name, filmed entirely in India. The album is a sonic journey mapping the gripping story of Hollywood’s prodigal daughter Jennifer Lynch as she makes her first Hollywood/Bollywood creature feature in India. Appleonia co-wrote and co-produced the album with collaborator Nadav Kahn. They were inspired by India, snakes, the gods and how we don’t always get what we want but get what we need.
